About Me

Hi!  I'm Tammy.  I am a high school teacher who just finished up a Master's in Library Science.  Why?  Because I'm addicted to books, of course!  I especially love Young Adult books of the paranormal persuasion.  Obviously, I sort of like Van Morrison too.

Even though I don't have a job in a library yet, I still get to do all of the fiction ordering at my school.  It's like a shopping spree for books and someone else pays for it! : )

I am 43 years old and I've been teaching teenagers for 20 years.  I have 2 daughters, a husband, a dog and a cat.  They all put up with my reading habits like pros!

I used to be an avid reader as a child.  In fact, I read so much that my mom would take away my books and make me go outside to play!  As I got older, I stopped reading so much.  I mean, I read some stuff, but I wasn't a prolific reader.  Then, my students introduced me to Twilight, and everything changed!

I owe Twilight for my re-discovered love of reading and even for my decision to become a librarian.  The English teachers are right. See, a book really can change your life!
